Daniel Joseph Abrahamson (1909 - 1997)

Daniel Joseph Abrahamson is the brother of Dorothy Sophia Abrahamson, the 2nd wife of my maternal grandfather Marcus Levin. Abrahamson family HERE

Naturalization

Daniel and his family were naturalized in August 1913

Occupation: He was apprenticed to a pharmacist and then his parents bought a shop for him in Eccles New Road. However it was unsuccessful as it closed on Shabbat. He then rented a pharmacy shop near the Hope hospital and offered a 24 hour service. The family lived over the the shop. After the 2nd World War he qualified as an optician and eventually had three optician shops - all three being within one mile of each other

Married: Clare Citron in (October - December) 1934 in Manchester, England. Daniel was 25 years of age and Clare was 24

Death
Died of pneumonia on 28 November 1997 in Manchester, England at 88 years of age. Daniel is buried in the Rainsough Jewish Cemetery, Manchester, England
