Health
Muriel had a serious late-term miscarriage early on in her marriage from which she never really recovered, being unable to have any more children and was a semi-invalid for the rest of her life as a consequence, although, as my mom pointed out, it didn't stop her getting around and leading a full and active life to the best of her ability

Death
8 August 1961 at age 52 (not 51) in Liverpool, England. Buried in the Long Lane Cemetery, England, plot B-G.3

In loving memory of Muriel Goodman. Passed away 8th August 1961. Aged 51 years. Deeply mourned by her devoted husband, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and all her family. May her dear soul rest in peace.
